Community-Based Environmental Projects
Monduli Juu has been experiencing extreme cycles of drought and flooding in the past 30 years, leading to water shortages, extensive soil erosion, environmental degredation and deforestation.
Taken together, these have resulted in water shortages, the death of livestock, hunger, and negative social impacts for health, education, economic wellbeing, and the security of women and girls.
Natopiwo works with NGO partners and the local community to address these problems through reforestation, water conservation projects and now, beginning in 2024, an extensive erosion mitigation and vegetation renewal project. Below are details on some recent projects.
